The House That Had Enough is a 1986 Big Little Golden Book and is one of my favorites. Big Little Golden Books came out from 1986 to 1988 and were similar to the regular Little Golden Books, but just a bit bigger. There were only about 37 different titles printed (as far as I know) and The House That Had Enough was easily the best of the bunch. It is about a child who does not keep her room and things clean. Soon her clothes, toiletries, and eventually her house rebel and threaten to walk out on her. She finally sees the error of her ways and all ends well, but what a great lesson learned. A very hard book to find. I have one as I type this (9-30-25) but it won’t last long.
